Chapter 1

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.

“My dear Mr. Bennet,” said his lady to him one day, “have you heard that Netherfield Park is let at last?”

Mr. Bennet replied that he had not.

“But it is,” returned she; “for Mrs. Long has just been here, and she told me all about it.”

Yes. You can hear any voice read your own text on this page without signing up, and a free account narrates your first chapter so you can hear your book before you pay. Downloads come with a plan or a one-book pack.

Most novels are narrated within an hour or two of pressing Narrate. Chapters are made on our servers, so you can close the tab; we email you when the audiobook is ready.

Not by uploading it. Audible’s ACX asks for human narration, and Amazon’s own Virtual Voice is the only AI route there. Spotify for Authors, Kobo and Google Play Books accept AI narration when you disclose it, and you can always sell from your own site.

An MP3 for every chapter, one M4B audiobook file with chapter marks, a 2400 × 2400 square cover, and opening and closing credits. Everything is levelled to audio-store loudness and checked before you download.

We find every line of dialogue and who says it, then you pick a voice for each character (or let us cast it). The narrator reads everything else. Any character can be read by the narrator instead.

Add the word and how to say it once. Every chapter uses it, and you can read a single line again without redoing the chapter.

Yes. On paid plans you can sell it, give it away or use it however you like, and we take no royalties.
